Meet Sarah Armstrong, she is a busy mum of two who also works a physical job role for lengthy hours. Sarah has clear goals of what she wanted to achieve from day one and has stuck to her commitment since our initial consultation. She has gone from “zero activity levels and beginner in the gym” to adopting a lifestyle which involves regular exercise alongside the confidence and competence to walk on to the floor and perform her tailored training program which supports her physique goals. Sarah was ready for change and prepared herself to make changes to see changes in her health and bodyshape. We have made great progress at JWPT in 12 months and look forward to pushing Sarah up to the next level towards her long term goals through one-to-one coaching.
I came to Jake 12 months ago a lost, defeated women, who over the past 4 years had tried every potion, lotion and shake in the book to get a ‘quick fix’ on weight loss. I was struggling with my mental health which had led to comfort eating and not having the drive to get active.
In my first meeting with Jake, he presented my current level of health and high risk of developing long term health conditions. This was delivered straight down the barrel, pulling no punches with his trademark, yet professional, ‘no excuses, no nonsense’ approach. This was hard to hear but absolutely the message I needed to open my eyes to the long tough road I had ahead of me to get my pre-baby body back and the level of fitness I had always wanted but struggled to obtain.
From a women’s perspective the thought of weight training frightened the life out of me and I felt very apprehensive of what I was getting myself into. Jake immediately dispelled any preconceptions I had and gave me the confidence and support to start strength training, setting me tailored exercised that made the training manageable yet challenging to my level of fitness which progressed each week.
Looking back over 12 months I can’t believe how my strength and fitness has evolved, I couldn’t even do a bodyweight squat week one but now do heavy barbell squats and deadlifts which were exercises I didn’t even know existed before but now are massive factors in my training plan to get the body I desire.
I can’t thank Jake and the team enough for what they have done for me; they have transformed my lifestyle, physical and mental health further than I ever thought possible.
