Following Kirsty’s last blog about getting started and staying committed to a new active lifestyle, Here’s an update from Kirsty Wilkinson’s journey in 6 months at JWPT from being sat on the sofa to completing Tough Mudder and she continues to get in better shape. The secret is building a sustainable lifestyle that works for you. You don’t need to be anti-social or a fitness freak to lose 31lb and feel great!
I’ve now completed 24 weeks of jakes online coaching so far and have just signed up to a further 12 weeks which will take me up to a week before my big 3 0 birthday! I’ve still really enjoyed the journey through my weight loss, my fitness has continued to improve and I completed tough mudder in may with jake and the bootcamp team. This was a massive a achievement for me, having gone from zero exercise in January to 12 miles and lots of obstacles! It hasn’t been as straightforward with this last 12 weeks as i was away in Ibiza for 10 days (I put 8lbs on) but as soon as I was back I was straight back on it and lost my weight gain which again proves my mindset has changed as previously I would of just given up. My next big challenge Is the half marathon in September which I’m slightly nervous about but I’m sure like tough mudder I’ll do it and be proud. I’ve learnt to carry a better posture and have used my core more during workouts and going forward in the next 12 weeks jake has devised a new fat loss interval program and a strength based program plus some new meals which I am looking forward to trying. So new goals are now set and I can’t wait to see the next lot of results!
I am really pleased with my progress so far and 100% motivated to smash 12 more weeks before my 30th birthday! This has been my best achievement yet completing Tough Mudder with my bootcamp friends. This is my muddy finish line photo!
