Meet Craig, 45 years old, who works an average of 55 hours per week has a company director. He has a wife and two children who all have busy activity schedules with sport and fitness. Craig had lost his motivation for exercise over the past 2 years with constant injuries and a busy work schedule. He would make all the wrong decisions and grab unhealthy snacks when he was tired. This needed to change. Then after catching up with his friend who had achieved great results in 12 weeks at JWPT, Craig decided he needed to get regain control of his lifestyle, personal health and cut the excuses. Craig had competed in sports throughout his youth and played professional football until 27 years old and semi-professional football until his mid-30’s.
Here is a snapshot of Craig’s 12 week journey from Day 1; Week 4; Week 8; and Week 12!
From the first minute I walked into the cave I have been inspired, motivated, encouraged, pushed, and taught how to better myself. This training experience with Jake Wood has been second to none. I have learnt 3 key points to transforming your physique since day 1: Form is majorly important, I don’t need to lift heavy, and training all body parts in 1 session has great results. My greatest achievement has been getting lean and being to do pull ups again as I couldn’t do one at the start and I can now do 6 reps without stopping!
The Mindset:From 1-to-1 coaching and small group training at JWPT it was clear that Craig had the “fire burning inside him” to push himself week-in week-out to be the fittest and strongest he can be as well as transforming his physique despite various old injuries and structural imbalances. ‘The Chimp Paradox’ is a fantastic mind management read for anyone and this is something Jake and Craig had related to for his ever improving lifestyle. Craig realised that you needed to find a form of exercise that you “enjoy” and being excited to train helped him adhere to a training structure and crave the intensity and ‘blood thirsty’ training environment which has been created in the cave!
