From my experience as a personal trainer and working closely with clients to get results in 12 weeks, here are some things I know for sure:
“Train with more heart rather than too much head. When exercise get’s complicated your brain is not stimulated to train hard. Simply give 100% effort to make each workout better than the last.”
1. You can’t out-train a poor diet. If you don’t know what a good diet looks like then remember this rule, “if it did swim, fly, walk or grows in the ground then your good to eat it.” The less refined your food is, the better it is.
2. Without strength-based training you cannot maximise your fat loss therefore you tend to lose weight which sounds great but the greater % of your weight loss is lean muscle tissue – alongside other contributing factors this will lead to a body shape we know as “skinny-fat”. In simple terms, this is a slim bodyshape with a high BF%.
3. The first thing you put in your mouth every morning will dictate your cravings for the day, In other words avoid sugary cereals.
3. Only surround yourself by positivity!
4. Fitness is not about being better than someone else. Fitness is about being better than you used to be.
5. There’s no excuses to get yourself in shape. You have 24 hours in a day, you train for 1 hour and then there’s 23 hours left…
Thanks for reading my blog. Enjoy a healthy and active way of life.
